Safety & Professional Installation Disclaimer (CRITICAL)
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. AIRBAGS ARE CRITICAL SAFETY COMPONENTS.
Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS): All items sold on Safetyairbag.com—including but not limited to steering wheel airbags, passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, knee airbags, clocksprings, sensors, and seatbelt pretensioners—are part of a vehicle’s Supplemental Restraint System.
Professional Installation Required: You explicitly acknowledge and agree that automotive airbags and related safety accessories must be installed exclusively by a certified, licensed, and professional automotive technician or mechanic who is trained in SRS deployment and installation systems.
No DIY Installation: Safetyairbag strictly advises against self-installation (“Do-It-Yourself”) of any safety component. Improper installation can result in accidental deployment, failure to deploy during an accident, severe personal injury, or death.
Assumption of Risk: By purchasing products from this Website, you assume all risk associated with the handling, installation, and performance of the used OEM components. Safetyairbag shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or fatalities arising from improper handling, testing, or installation of the purchased parts.
Product Condition and Compatibility
Used OEM Components: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the products sold on Safetyairbag are used, recycled, or salvaged Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. They are sourced from donor vehicles and may exhibit minor cosmetic wear.
Inspection and Testing: We conduct visual inspections of our inventory; however, buyers acknowledge that airbag modules contain pyrotechnic charges that cannot be fully deployed or tested without rendering the product unusable.
Fitment and Compatibility: While we provide vehicle fitment guides, make, model, and year data, it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify compatibility. We highly recommend matching the exact OEM part number or using your vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) before finalizing a purchase.
Accounts and Registration
When you create an account with us, you guarantee that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Inaccurate or obsolete information may result in the immediate termination of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and restrict access to your computer or account.
Purchases and Payment
If you wish to purchase any product made available through Safetyairbag, you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your purchase, including your credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and shipping information.
Payment Processing: We use secure, encrypted third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe or PayPal). By submitting your details, you grant us the right to provide the information to these third parties to facilitate the transaction.
Order Rejection: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order at any time for reasons including but not limited to: product availability, errors in the description or price of the product, errors in your order, or suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions.
Shipping and Delivery
Hazmat Regulations: Airbags contain pyrotechnic inflators and are legally classified as Class 9 Hazardous Materials (Hazmat). Consequently, shipping is subject to specialized courier regulations, packaging standards, and restricted transport methods (typically ground shipping only within continental regions).
Delivery Estimates: Shipping times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed due to potential Hazmat transit delays.
Shipping Inspection: Upon receiving your package, you must inspect the box for damage before signing for the delivery. Any shipping damage must be reported to us within [48 hours] of delivery.
Returns, Refunds, and Core Exchanges
Our Return Policy is subject to strict guidelines due to the nature of automotive safety equipment:
Return Window: We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery for uninstalled, unaltered parts in their original shipping condition.
Deactivated/Installed Parts: We cannot accept returns on any airbag module that has been installed, altered, tampered with, or plugged into a vehicle’s electrical system.
Restocking Fees: Returns ordered by mistake or due to buyer compatibility errors may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, and the buyer is responsible for return Hazmat shipping compliance and costs.
Intellectual Property
The Website and its original content, features, functionality, logos, and custom graphics are and will remain the exclusive property of Safetyairbag and its licensors. Our branding may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Safetyairbag.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Safetyairbag, its directors, employees, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Website.
The performance, deployment, failure to deploy, or malfunction of any used OEM airbag or safety component purchased through the site.
Personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death resulting from the use or installation of parts sold on this platform.
Maximum Liability: In all circumstances, Safetyairbag’s maximum liability to any buyer is strictly limited to the purchase price of the specific item bought that caused the dispute.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access our Website after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
